We can easily enable Aero glass on supported graphics cards without any driver in Windows Vista. The steps for this trick is given as:
- Click on the Windows Vista start orbs and open the start menu.
- Type in devmgmt.msc to the start menu instant search field and press Enter to load it up.
- Expand the Display Adapters section in the opened Device Manager window and right click on each display device and select Uninstall.
- Reboot your computer once.
- When your computer restarts,Windows Vista should install a generic video driver by default so your screen will still work.
- Go back into Device Manager as explained in step 2 and again expand the Display Adapters section and then right click on your display adapter device and select the option Update Driver.
- This time select the options Browse My Computer for Driver and then select Let me pick it from a list.
- Go to the Graphics section closest to your Graphics Card vendor, say NVIDIA or ATI and select the Graphics card Driver closest to your display adapter chipset, too.
- Hit OK to continue and install the new display driver.
- After display driver installation in Windows Vista, prompt for restart comes and press OK to restart your computer.
- Once you have rebooted your computer, right click on your Windows Vista desktop and from the opened context menu select Personalize.
- Click on Windows Colors and Appearance option in the opened window.
- Click on Open classic appearance properties for more color options.
- In the Color Scheme box, select Windows Vista Aero option.
- Hit OK and Aero glass will now activated in your Windows Vista.
